F. KING ALEXANDER
President, Cal State University at Long Beach
Dr. F. King Alexander was named the 6th President of Cal State University at Long Beach in November of 2005 after serving as the President of Murray State University in Kentucky from 2001-2005.
Dr. Alexander is a well respected national expert in domestic and international higher education finance and public policy. His research on university revenue, tuition, and expenditure patterns has been featured in The New York Times, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Boston Globe, The Australian, The Christian Science Monitor, and The Economist. Dr. Alexander received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Higher Education Finance and Public Policy, a Master's of Science degree from Oxford University (England) in Comparative Education Policy and his undergraduate degree in Political Science from St. Lawrence University in New York.
