DeFaria is currently Executive Vice President, Digital Production for Warner Bros. Pictures, charged with overseeing visual effects, Feature Animation and the application of emerging digital technologies in live-action feature films. Recently Mr. DeFaria was the Executive in Charge of Production for “The 300,” “Harry Potters 3, 4 and 5,” “Troy,” “Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Happy Feet,” and the upcoming “Where the Wild Things Are,” directed by Spike Jonz. Prior to holding this position, deFaria produced “Cats & Dogs” and “Looney Tunes: Back in Action” for the studio, “Tremors 2” for Universal and numerous other television, film and live venue projects. As the digital production head at Warner Bros, deFaria aims to unify the production and creative management of visual effects and animation-driven films under one umbrella, seek out new talent, tools and creative
partnerships and help craft the studio’s strategy for mobile content and other marketing and distribution channels.He has been with Warner Bros. for more than ten years.
