DAVID EDWARDS

  Founder, Le Laboratoire

David Edwards is the founder of the experimental art and design center Le Laboratoire in Paris and a professor of biomedical engineering at Harvard University. He is the author of the essay Artscience: Creativity in the Post-Google Generation (Harvard 2008) and co-author of the novel Niche (Ecole de Beaux-Arts 1997).

Edwards is also the founder of Medicine in Need, or MEND, an international not-for-profit based in the USA, France and South Africa – dedicated to the development of new drugs and vaccines for diseases of poverty. He lives with his wife and three sons in Paris and Boston.
