RICHARD BERG

  Production Designer

Richard Berg was born in Toronto Canada. His artistic background stemmed from a deep-seated interest in painting and Fine Art which later became the basis for his education. In 1984 he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from York University in Toronto (1984). And in 1991 Berg graduated with a second degree from University of Toronto (Bachelor of Architecture).

After working with an Architecture firm in Toronto after graduation, he moved to Los Angeles in 1992 where he began his shift into design for film. He began designing Music Videos for such artists as Madonna, Janet Jackson, Jewel, No Doubt, Mariah Carey, Ricky Martin, Lenny Kravitz, Toni Braxton and the Dave Mathews Band. In addition, he designed many commercials, most notably for L'oreal Paris.

In 2001 he was brought on as the Production Designer for the new CBS show “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” where he remained as the singular designer for the show for over six seasons. Along the way, he designed the permanent sets and pilot for the show “CSI: Miami.” In 2007, Berg left the Television world to pursue his film career.
