Gore Verbinski holds two of the top five all time worldwide box office records for his “Pirates of the Caribbean” Trilogy. His other recent films include “The Ring” and “The Weatherman.” In 1997 he made his directorial debut with “Mousehunt” for Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks SKG. In addition to being an accomplished film maker, he is an award winning Commercial Director, Musician and
Composer.
Verbinski is currently working on an animated feature, a video game, and a weekly Internet program. With a strong background in design and Visual Effects, (“POTC: Dead Mans Chest” won the Academy Award® for best Visual effects in 2007) Verbinski continues to focus on the seamless integration of design and narrative. He is a graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television and currently a member of its Board of Directors.
